The problem we couldn't unsee
A salon owner is mid-colour when three Instagram enquiries arrive. A builder is on the tools when the phone rings twice. A clinic's front desk closes at 5:30 — and the booking rush starts at 8 pm, when people finally sit down and sort their lives out.
None of these people are doing anything wrong. They're doing the work. But every unanswered enquiry is a customer who messages the next business on the list — and the next business only has to do one thing to win: answer first.
Hiring more front-desk hours is expensive and still doesn't cover 2 am. Generic chatbots frustrate people into leaving. So we built the thing we kept wishing existed: an AI receptionist that knows the business as well as the owner does, answers on every channel the moment an enquiry lands, books real appointments, and hands over to a human exactly when it should.
What we believe
Accuracy over cleverness. An AI that admits "I don't have that detail" is worth ten that guess. LexisGrid only speaks from the information you give it — full stop.
The owner stays in charge. You edit the knowledge base. You see every conversation. You get flagged when a human is needed. AI should extend your reach, not replace your judgment.
Prove it with numbers. The dashboard exists so you never have to take our word for anything. Conversations, leads, bookings — if it's not earning its keep, you'll be the first to know.
Local business deserves big-business tools. The technology behind LexisGrid is the same class of AI running enterprise support desks — packaged so a salon, a builder or a clinic can switch it on in days, without an IT department.
Who we are
LexisGrid is built by a small, hands-on team working directly with Australian local businesses. We're the people who set up your receptionist, load your knowledge base, and answer when you call — because we think the company selling you an AI receptionist should be very easy to reach.
We operate as Brian Williams Design trading as LexisGrid, ABN 26 541 146 059, and we work with businesses right across Australia — from Sydney and Melbourne to Brisbane and beyond.
The Medium Changes. The Vision Remains.
I am a conceptualist. I don’t define my work by the tools I use, but by the ideas that demand to be brought to life.
Brian Williams
For years, my work was shaped by physical elements — molten glass, beeswax, and sculpted light — learning how to turn raw matter into intentional experiences. Navigating that world taught me a fundamental truth: the medium is just a vessel. The real work is the concept.
Today, that same studio practice has expanded into artificial intelligence. To a traditionalist, moving from physical craftsmanship to neural networks is a pivot; to a conceptualist, it is a seamless continuation. AI is simply the most responsive, fluid material humanity has ever created — a new canvas for human intention.
In a world saturated by automated content, technology without human vision is just noise. Whether working with fire and wax or code and voice, my mission is to inhabit the edge of what’s possible and craft ideas that resonate with originality.

How we work with you
We don't hand you a login and wish you luck. Every LexisGrid account is built for the business it belongs to: we connect your calendar and CRM, load your services and prices, set the guardrails with you, and test it against the questions your customers actually ask before it goes anywhere near a real one.
After that you're in control — edit anything yourself from the settings page, watch the numbers on your dashboard, and tell us when something needs changing. We'd rather you called us than worked around us.
Somebody is always asking. Somebody should always answer.
That is the whole idea. Not to replace the person who runs the business, but to make sure the business is never silent when a customer reaches out.
